What to Expect

These auctions typically offer a wide array of building material products; flooring, tile, carpet, lighting, trim, kitchens, jetted tubs and spas, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, etc.

Most lots are sold by the “Choice method” or “Discretion Method” (meaning: one or more of the same item).  So homeowners can bid equally with the large volume buyers.

Tips

Come prepared to haul material.  Most of what we sell seldom fits into the truck of a car.  It helps to have someone with you to watch your purchases as well as help you load.

Security

Please understand very clearly that at the moment of sale (the fall of the hammer) or the auctioneer says “Sold” the material is yours and the security of the material rests with you.  A sad fact of life is that people sometimes steal from one another.  People who prepare properly for an auction seldom lose anything while those who are unprepared, stand a much greater chance of losing something.

Loading and Handling

Building materials are big and heavy so come prepared.  All purchases and/or materials must be removed from the auction site by no later than noon on the day following the auction ending day.  By contract, we are required to insure compliance with site official’s requirements.  Materials left after the deadline may be considered “abandoned”.

All materials must be paid for before being moved from its location.  No material may be loaded without a “paid” invoice.  Buyers should keep “paid” invoices with them at all times.

Buyers should come prepared to move their purchases from the building by hand, with handcarts or dollies, and with additional help if needed.  A list of rental truck locations is provided so the buyer should make arrangements for the rental trucks and/or hauling in advance.

Please remember that Building materials are big and heavy, have sharp edges, and with forklifts, trucks, and trailers moving around, an auction site is not a safe place for small children.  If you bring children, please watch them very closely.
